Affiliate Marketing - Preselling for Profits
There are a number of 'Buzz' words and phrases associated with Affiliate Marketing. "Take the best and leave the rest", "action = Rewards", "will not succeed if you do not ask for the sale", etc. Without a doubt, the number 1 phrase that every successful affiliate marketer takes it to heart ... "The money is in the list."
Marketing a product directly to your list creates a paradox ... smaller is better ... The conversion ratio will be much, much more than marketing to an even more focused. (That is, Joe List, Croc Ads, safelists, etc.) Volumes have been written about building a list, but this topic is the focus of another article (or 10 :-)
The focus today will be to maximize the potential of your existing list. It does not matter if the list is 100, 1000 or 5000, you must always remember one key element ... these are people, not the e-mail. The moment you start thinking that just because you've captured their email address, now they are pawns in the game ... :-( You Toast
It will soon be in the unenviable position of having what is known as a list does not respond. Ah, you've spent a lot of time and effort to build that list, right?
Treat your list members with respect, providing quality information, tips, and tools, and become receptive to open the mail and scanning at least what you are saying. Do not fool yourself into thinking that every e-mail you send will be treated as a long lost letter from their favorite aunt. You must develop a relationship in which at least are curious to know what you are saying.
Generally, there are three paths that people take when communicating with their lists:
1.Simply send people directly through their affiliate link to a website or sales page. MARGINAL
2.Bombard their email list with promotion after promotion after ... well, you get it. SUICIDAL APPROACH
People 3.Send never a single email pitching their product and move on, not to mention it again. BEST, but ...
There is a much better way.
It will certainly have some success with these 3 techniques, that's why so many affiliates continue to use them. However, with some small adjustments on the number 3, the conversions can be increased significantly.
A rule of thumb that were agreed to marketing, on average, a cold prospect will be exposed to a new product from 5 to 7 times before becoming a buyer. This number is lower when dealing with your list IF they were treated fairly and have developed some confidence in what you are saying.
The technique of 'soften' the target audience BEFORE you make your full information approach is called pre-sales.
Coca Cola is constantly Preselling your product '. You already know the name ... you've probably tried it ... yet they are putting the product in front of you pretty much 24/7. Why spend all that money to go buy their product $ 1 ... competition and the development of customer loyalty.
Their ads rotate and appeal to a wide variety of people, but the central message is the same ... refreshing, unique, consistent quality, readily available, "cool", and value.
Your niche is certainly the largest Coca Cola, but your prospects will be moved to buy based on similar criteria ... solves an existing problem, unique, practical value, easy to use, and perceived. (I'll pay that price for that service?)
The key to success lies in the early pre-planning and execution. You should keep in mind the '5 - 7 'adjusts exposure and organize a campaign started before asking for the sale.
Your presell should be thin, introducing the product name and / or what specific problem can help solve. A good technique is to use the product presell in an anecdote about a product you are promoting.
For example, say you are actively promoting "To Track", a program for monitoring ad, list building and income generation, to your list. After planning everything in advance, you presell "Affiliate Cash Secrets", a training affiliate marketing and promotion program. A voice-mail may be formulated thus:
"One advantage is gained when using ad tracking features TTA is the ability to track a single URL, while individually tracking the response from multiple sources. For example, say you are sending an email campaign for "Affiliate Cash Secrets", and is expected to use List Joe, List Bandit, and Depot free ad. "
You could then go on to explain how to 'tag' the main URL, in order to keep track of your mailings received the best response, etc.
In the next email to your list, you could still talk about Affiliate Cash Secrets by reference or pass some good information you found on their website.
DO NOT suggest "For more information, check it out at ..." ..... yet. First of all, they probably will not. Remember that your goal is to presell ... Do not perform a simpler, softer Slam Dunk. Make your plan and stick to it. Shoot for at least 3 to 5 views of the product before going out full.
When you start implementing your campaigns in advance global affiliate marketing, you will see an increase in the rate of conversion. Now that you know the technique, you will realize that you are presold by some of the people whose membership roster. In fact, most recognizable names' in affiliate marketing using this technique.
Use your imagination, and keep an eye on the target. If used properly, Preselling your product will prove a very effective tool in your arsenal of affiliate marketing .......
