What Do You Know the yellow journalism?
No, not the historical battle between two newspapers in New York in late 1800 to see who could dig the biggest scandal to sell newspapers. And 'the publishing directory that you know as the Yellow Pages. Yet, ironically, has been around as long if not longer. But it has gone through many changes over the past century. For example, in color and printed on white paper with yellow ink, to give the impression of yellow paper. It also has a counterpart to the Internet every printed book. It 's also available as a CD or DVD in many areas. No, Yellow Pages is not your father anymore.
If you're reading this and an advertiser, it would behoove you to learn more about this support. We are investing the profits in a marketing campaign in an attempt to bring in customers. But what do you know your ads? We do a test. You can answer "yes" to any of the following questions:
You know what the average customer is worth, in your industry?
You know the percentage of profit should be spent on advertising YP?
Do you know what part of your ad is most effective?
Do you know what part of your ad is less effective?
Have you recently looked at all the ads for a competitor?
If you also said "yes" to one of these, I'm proud of you. Otherwise, you are pretty typical for a marketeer to be not-so-savvy. But, then again, that probably is not your experience. It should not be. Do you have a business to run. How can you keep abreast of trends in advertising and the like? But you should know how the money is used and whether you work hard for you to bring in potential customers.
So, you have a choice. You can hire a consultant or YP choose the brain of a local representative of the YP. The first can be expensive and the latter can not function. This is because they have little time to spend only your account and are paid by the publisher. Therefore, it can not be impartial as you might think. So we recommend (a) what makes them a nice commission, and (b) that the publisher wants to sell this time.
Instead, consider something else. Educate yourself by reading the field and what it takes to create a successful campaign YP. There are few good books available, but you might want to start with "Inside the Yellow Pages" for a solid overview of what you need. It 'a small investment in your future business and could save a lot of time and money .......
