Extremadura promote the creation of franchises Business System

The home-cooked food grandfather Manuel, Manuel Lobo Brides is a fashion brand with great success, and the Farm The Crossing markets eggs throughout the region. These three companies have in common is that Extremadura and working as a franchise business system is picking up momentum and is growing in the region since 2007, but have their heavy burden on its limited expansion outside the autonomous region; only five of the franchises Extremadura is located outside the community and no outside Spain.

To stop this trend, the Junta de Extremadura has implemented the project free of duty, which contribute to the creation, modernization and internationalization of such establishments in the region, by developing a diagnosis and plan creation "customized" for each of them.

The project's objective is to provide companies with a plan for the expansion of the franchise and thus increase the size of the same and the number of franchisees, regional and national. This project is included in the Strategic Plan Proximity of Commerce from 2009-2013, and seeks the internationalization of these businesses, "mainly in Portugal," by their geographical proximity.

Specifically, it will first diagnosis and evaluation of the company, to know their situation and define the actions "more interesting" for the growth of the franchise, and then plans will be developed "customized" technical and financial support .

These plans define the attending fairs of interest according to the type of activity, assistance to trade missions and the development of promotional measures, among others. Thus, Aguilar announced this year will exhibit at Franquiatlántico, Expofranquicia and SIF & Co, with the institutional stand of the Junta de Extremadura.

In the region there are now 45 franchises, which have 116 and 274 franchise-owned stores, primarily in the sectors of food, which represents 22 percent, and hotel, 19 per ciento.Les follows the sector construction and decoration (11 percent), clothing and fashion (8 percent), bakery, beauty and cosmetics or computers, all with a rate of six per cent.

The Minister of Economy, Trade and Innovation, María Dolores Aguilar, has acknowledged that "there are few franchises still Extremadura" but has stressed the optimistic perception about the business model for the possibilities it presents.
