The quality of the university

I welcome very much the University of Salamanca is the second highest score in all of Spain for his educational level, according to a ranking that has just been published. No one believes a lot in this type of classification, in general, let alone in the hierarchical list of the 69 Spanish universities face. Among other reasons, because it is out of print my alma mater, the University of Deusto, a first center to which I returned the other day to see its splendid documentation center, located at the welcome shade of the Guggenheim Museum. In any case, our higher education is not to rave about. Having some 69 universities, and more in perspective, is an outrage and is a waste. That, only in terms of universities that require the physical presence of students. Besides these are the centers of UNED, the Menendez y Pelayo, the summer courses and several other private schools of higher level. More people, among them, which in the cabin of the Marx Brothers.

To attract students, rather than compete on quality, which would be legitimate, they are often forced to make giving more facilities to pass. And so we go as we go. It is not abnormal, then, that no Spanish university is among the top 100-go, again making use of the classifications, and that our best teachers can be given as the pyro to teach in foreign centers, and power be, in the United States. No wonder that when a new plan, such as Bologna, aims to raise the bar of education, knowledge and demand matching quality controls much of the academic world feels threatened quietist comfort and drowsy and actually put a panther . Having said that, it would be disastrous USAL, gratified by a dubious academic ranking is resting on its laurels, never better, because our university has unique qualities that, well used, can make it an ideal place to learn, unlike many others.
