Electronic Engineer

Electronics affects many parts of our lives and an electrical engineer can work in a wide range of fields from radio and production of satellites, in the field of acoustics, robotics, mobile phones, telecommunications, signal processing, nanotechnology and others.

The work of an electrical engineer is to search components, electrical engineering and testing so that electricity is properly and effectively used in the equipment. They may work with engineers from other disciplines, as part of a project, and can see projects through from start to finish, beginning with the research and design, and ending on the effective implementation of the product and processes.

Typical tasks associated with this work include

Ø Discuss proposals and come up with new systems and circuits in order to develop their ideas
o Create and test prototypes
O Altering the design of products, in order to make them work more efficiently
o Check the product specifications can be consistently produced and fit for purpose - supervise the quality control
Produce or detailed specifications that can be used by competent persons
Ø Observe all safety aspects
o Manage budgets and make decisions based on cost analysis
or management and engineering teams to make sure projects are followed

Electronic engineers have access to a large number of employers from the government (defense departments and MOD), telecommunications companies, research institutes, manufacturers of electronic equipment, digital technology and the automotive industry, utility companies, hospitals and educational organizations.

Salaries start at around £ 22,000 to £ 30,000 to gain experience and can be up to € 60,000 and higher. Salaries vary depending on the industry he worked in. Most electrical engineers working in areas where there are a lot of production and work for medium-small size. The working hours can be long, because the world of electrical engineering is data driven and very competitive. Work abroad is possible and career advancement can be aided if an engineer has a knowledge of a second language. If you work in Europe, the engineers can apply for the status of European engineer (Eur Ing), which provides professional recognition abroad and increased employability....
